ABC Riverina have a number of talkback shows that have invited guests to talk about a variety of topics, including upcoming events and activities
2AAA Community Radio
A local community operated radio station that has been operating for over 40 years, with broadcast repeaters covering Wagga Wagga (107.1Mhz); Tatton, Bourkelands & Springvale (107.9Mhz); Gundagai and Coolamon (99.1Mhz) and Junee (97.9Mhz). Plenty of magazine (talkback) shows to promote your local event or activity
HIT 93.1 Riverina
Part of Southern Cross Austereo, HIT 93.1 is home to many popular shows during breakfast, work and on the drive home
2TVR – Sounds of the Mountains
A community radio station covering the Snowy Valleys and Cootamundra-Gundagai Regional Council areas. The station operates 24 hours a day and provides a continuous and well supported service of announcing upcoming community events and lost & found items as well as providing a valuable forum for the local schools, churches, local interest groups, local community and local government groups and organisations to broadcast regular news and information.
Radio Upper Murray
A small community radio station based at Walwa in North East Victoria that was established in 1994. They have studios in Walwa, Corryong and Tumbarumba (just south of Wagga Wagga, NSW), and broadcast a variety of radio programs, with a focus on locally produced programs run by and for the people of Upper Murray region.
TEM-FM
Proudly serves Temora and surrounding districts.
2MIA FM — The Local One
Community radio station that broadcasts live and recorded programs across the Murrumbidgee Irrigation Area (MIA), New South Wales, Australia.
Wagga’s Life FM 101.9
Wagga Wagga radio’s non-denominational, Christian FM station. They broadcast mainstream and Christian contemporary music, and entertaining shows. Programs include lifestyle and current-affairs interviews and a series of popular inspirational segments. Their style is modern, lighthearted and family-friendly with a focus on the community
Radio 1RPH
Radio 1RPH informs and entertains listeners across the Canberra, Wagga Wagga and Junee regions by turning print into sound. Each day volunteers read from the major daily newspapers, including the Canberra Times, and from popular international and Australian magazines, journals, serialised books and community newsletters. We also feature readings from The Daily Advertiser and The Southern Cross for listeners in Wagga Wagga and Junee.

The Daily Advertiser — Wagga Wagga
Published six days a week (Mon-Sat), The Daily Advertiser brings all the latest local news, opinions and everything that’s happening to readers in Wagga Wagga and surrounding districts.
The Rural
An insert in the majority of Australian Community Media’s NSW newspaper publications — with a circulation of over 45,000 copies each week, it is an ideal choice for adverting events to a wider audience
The Senior
With a monthly national readership of more than 1.3 million, Australian Senior Publications is the leader in delivering news and views to Australia’s rapidly-growing senior population. Covers news and events in the Leeton area and is published twice weekly — Tuesday and Friday
Town and Country Magazine
Inserted into 16 rural and regional newspapers weekly. The coverage area of Town & Country Magazine is diverse — it covers infrastructural issues, the business sector and community affairs focussed around its town distribution.

Local Councils Event Websites

Most local council’s community event pages and calendars typically only feature events and activities that occur within their boundaries. However, when planning your own events, it is often useful to check out what is occurring around you to avoid conflicts or to consider entering into joint marketing campaigns.

Junee Shire Council Events Page
The township of Junee also incorporates Junee North and the shire includes the villages and rural communities of Bethungra, Coursing Park, Dirnaseer, Eurongilly, Harefield, Illabo, Junee Reefs, Marinna, Old Junee, Wallacetown, Wantabadgery, and Yathella.
It’s On! in Coolamon Shire
The Shire includes the towns of Ardlethan, Coolamon, and Ganmain, as well as the villages of Beckom, Matong, and Marrar. Coolamon Shire is part of the Canola Trail, a joint tourism campaign with Junee and Temora.
Cootamundra-Gundagai Regional Council maintains two Events sites — one for Cootamundra and another for Gundagai
Brawlin, Coolac, Frampton, Muttama, Nangus, Stockinbingal, Tumblong, and Wallendbeen also form part of the Cootamundra-Gundagai Regional Council area.
Federation Shire — Discover the experience of the Corowa Region
The main urban centres include Corowa and Mulwala, whilst localities in the area include Balldale, Boree Creek, Buraja, Coreen, Daysdale, Hopefield, Howlong, Lowesdale, Morundah, Oaklands, Rand, Rennie, Savernake and Urana.
Greater Hume Council Events Calendar
Includes Holbrook, Culcairn, Brocklesby, Bungowannah, Burrumbuttock, Gerogery and Gerogery West, Henty, Jindera, Morven, Walbundrie and Walla Walla.
Giffith City Council Community Events
In addition to Griffith and its’ suburbs of Collina, Driver, East Griffith, Mayfair, Mooreville, Murrumbidgee, North Griffith, Pioneer, South Griffith, West Griffith, and Wickhams Hill, the council region includes the towns of Beelbangera, Bilbul, Hanwood, Lake Wyangan, Tharbogang, Warburn, Widgelli, Willbriggie, Yenda, and Yoogali
Leeton’s Events
Leeton’s suburbs include Gralee, North Leeton, Parkview, Wattle Hill, Willimbong, Wiradjuri, while the towns and villages of Amesbury, Corbie Hill, Fivebough, Gogeldrie, Merungle Hill, Murrami, Stanbridge, Stoney Point, Wamoon, Whitton, and Yanco are included within the shire.
Lockart Events
Lockhart shire includes Lockhart, Mibrulong, Pleasant Hills, The Rock and Yerong Creek.
Narrandera What’s On
The shire of Narrandera includes the town of Narrandera and the villages of Barellan, Binya and Grong Grong.
What’s On Temora
In addition to the larger town of Temora, the shire includes the smaller towns of Ariah Park, Gidginbung, Narraburra, Sebastapol, Springdale, and Wallundry. Temora Shire is part of the Canola Trail, a joint tourism campaign with Junee and Coolamon.
Snowy Valleys Events & Festivals
The major towns included within the Snowy Valleys Shire Council borders include Adelong, Batlow, Tumbarumba and Tumut; along with the villages of Brindabella, Brungle, Cabramurra, Gilmore, Grahamstown, Gocup, Jingellic, Khancoban, Killimicat, Little River, Rosewood, Talbingo, Tooma, Wondalga and Yarrangobilly.
Visit Wagga Wagga
The suburbs of the City of Wagga Wagga include Ashmont, Boorooma, Bomen, Bourkelands, Cartwrights Hill, East Wagga Wagga, Estella, Forest Hill, Glenfield Park, Gobbagombalin, Gumly Gumly, Kapooka, Kooringal, Lake Albert, Lloyd, Mount Austin, North Wagga Wagga, San Isidore, Springvale, Tatton, Tolland, Turvey Park, and Wagga Wagga itself; and other localities included in the Local Government Area include Alfredtown, Book Book, Collingullie, Downside, Euberta, Gregadoo, Ladysmith, Mangoplah, Oura, Rowan, Tarcutta, and Uranquinty.

Getting a community service announcement
Community Service Announcements (or CSAs) are short messages that promote a charitable cause, activity or event that is considered of service to the community. Many television and radio stations set aside time in which they broadcast CSAs free of charge and a lot of newspapers, particularly suburbans and regionals publish their version of CSAs in free community round-ups, “what’s on” columns or even as “filler” ads.
