Grants up to $15,000 are available through the ANZ Seeds of Renewal program for community groups and not-for-profits that are improving, or looking to improve:
- Environmental sustainability: initiatives that restore and conserve the natural environment or which contribute to lower carbon emissions, water stewardship and waste minimisation
- Financial wellbeing: particularly for under-represented and disadvantaged people in the community
- Housing access: initiatives and programs that support those experiencing or at risk of homelessness or that provide supports for people living with disability
.
Organisations may apply for either a cash grant OR for Lenovo devices (laptops). On the application form, please choose whether the application is for a grant or devices. If a cash grant is chosen, specify the amount requested (up to $15,000). If IT equipment is chosen, specify how many devices are requested (up to 3 items in total). Each device will come with a Windows operating system and 3 years Parts & Labour Onsite “Premier” Warranty Support, although there is no other software (e.g. Microsoft Word).
ps: Many organisations in Junee have recently expressed a need for improved IT infrastructure to manage records, minutes, and membership databases; and to participate in video conferences and webinars — applying for the Lenovo option may be a suitable solution for some groups. The ThinkPad L490’s on offer has a built-in webcam and plenty of data storage — and even though they don’t include Microsoft Office, there are many free alternatives including Google Docs and LibreOffice that may be suitable for most organisations.
