Community Development Fund (October 2022)

The NSW Government’s Community Development Fund will support projects or programs which will provide a demonstrable benefit to communities, particularly vulnerable, rural, remote and disadvantaged communities. Between $5,000 and $250,000 is available for eligible projects.

Demonstrable benefits can include:

supporting vulnerable communities, such as rural and remote and disadvantaged
providing benefit to the broader community beyond the organisation being funded
supporting the achievement of The Premier’s priorities which include

Bumping up education results for children
Increasing the number of Aboriginal young people reaching their learning potential
Protecting our most vulnerable children
Increasing permanency for children in out-of-home care
Reducing domestic violence reoffending
Reducing recidivism in the prison population
Reducing homelessness
Improving outpatient and community care
Towards zero suicides
Greener public spaces
Greening our city
Government made easy
World-class public service

Projects and programs that deliver positive social, environmental, and recreational outcomes, while promoting community participation, inclusion and cohesion are eligible. Projects must:

have the support of the local community
be managed by an organisation that has the capacity and capability to deliver the project or program
have development consent if they are infrastructure projects

Funds cannot be used for events but can contribute to event infrastructure.
