Applications are now open for the Nutrien Ag Solutions Community Grants Program, with grants of up to $5,000 available for not-for-profit organisations in remote, rural and regional Australia to deliver projects that contribute to the success, vibrancy, and wellbeing of their communities.
The inaugural program, run in partnership with the Foundation for Rural & Regional Renewal (FRRR), will see Nutrien Ag Solutions donate $250,000 annually to support community projects that can have a positive and potentially long-term effect on the wider community by:
- Meeting a need or realising an opportunity,
and - Contributing to the success, vibrancy, and wellbeing of the community.
Nutrien Ag Solutions seeks to support local grassroots organisations with funding for projects that are meaningful for their communities.
Projects that can be funded
A broad range of charitable projects are considered under this program, including:
- Delivering, or providing activities, events, programs and services;
- Purchasing or hiring equipment and materials;
- Community infrastructure projects such as community facility upgrades;
- Organisational capacity building such as strategic planning;
and - Developing community resources such as volunteer programs, community gardens or providing access to training and skills development.
NOTE: Applications from sporting organisations need to clearly demonstrate charitable outcomes and benefit to the wider community that are above and beyond the sporting activities of the club.
Examples of projects up to $5,000 that have received funding through FRRR:
- Support community engagement and participation through the creation of a sensory garden.
- Improve health and welfare of Women through the delivery of a Women’s workshop during Women’s Health Week.
- Drive local tourism and strengthen community connection through the delivery of a community-based street art beautification project.
- Strengthen community access and inclusion through an upgrade of the entrance pathways to a well-used community facility.
- Improve volunteer support and the upkeep of community infrastructure through the purchase of appropriate gardening equipment.
Eligibility
The Nutrien Ag Solutions Community Grants Program is open to all communities in remote, rural and regional Australia.
To apply, you must meet the following criteria:
- Applicant organisations must be a not-for-profit organisation with an ABN or Incorporation Certificate;
- Project must be for charitable purposes and offer clear public benefit;
- Organisations with or without DGR endorsement are eligible;
- Organisations can submit one application per grant round including a project budget and timeline of project delivery;
- Projects must benefit communities in remote, rural or regional Australia.
Nearest Nutrien Ag Solutions Branch to Junee
A requirement of application process is all applicants MUST contact a Nutrien Ag Solutions branded store Branch Manager to be endorsed BEFORE submitting an application.
Marrar is physically the closet branch to most of Junee Shire, but your organisation may already have an exisiting relationship with the Wagga Wagga branch or with Rodwells Livestock (also based in Wagga)
Nutrien Ag Solutions Branch Managers can endorse multiple projects in their community, so this will not prevent other local groups being endorsed to apply. Project assessments will be based on application merit and completed by an independent Program Advisory Committee.

A free Grantseeker Workshop will be held via Zoom and it is strongly recommended that any organisation looking at applying for funding from the Nutrien Ag Solutions Community Grants Program should attend this workshop.
