Transgrid Community Partnerships Program
TransGrid are offering grants of up to $5,000 for not-for-profit organsations located within the Riverina, Murray, or Southern Inland regions as part of their Community Partnership Program.

Through the program, they provide groups with funding to help deliver initiatives that will have a tangible and lasting impact on local communities. Preference is be given to initiatives that improve or promote public safety, wellbeing, health, education or the environment.

As always, it is strongly recommended you look at past recipients of the Transgrid Community Partnerships Program to get an idea of the types of projects they support. Check out the Program Beneficiaries videos — a number of will play in succession and they give you a great insight to some of the projects that TransGrid are willing to support.

Previously supported projects include:

  • Installation of Air Conditioning in halls
  • Create educational grants for young people in the community who are seeking tertiary education
  • Providing education on food safety and efficient power usage
  • Repair and refurbish an old plant nursery and create a native fruit and herb kitchen
  • Support the men of the community with free BBQs during fortnightly mental health meetings
  • Purchase defibrillator units and First Aid Equipment; plus provide training
  • Provide suicide awareness training and education workshops to community members including youth
  • Purchase of show jumping equipment and cross country jumps for children’s equestrian clubs
  • Purchase of safety equipment, torches and lighting for firefighters
  • Replace or upgrade electrical switchboards and equipment for community halls and meeting spaces
  • Install, replace or upgrade signage in gardens or community spaces for visitor information
  • Improve accessibility and inclusivity features within a community garden environment
  • Provision of PA equipment for community events.
  • … and lots of other worthy community projects

TransGrid will support partial funding of projects.

A number of projects in Wagga Wagga, were funded in the last couple of rounds — ALL Community Groups and Sporting Clubs based with Junee Shire should seriously consider applying this round!

Notes:

  • All applicants must have an ABN
  • You can apply for several projects — each must have a seperate application form submitted and each project will be assisted independently
  • The application process involves completing five simple “Eligibility” questions (with a Yes or No response); then providing a brief outline of your Organisation and your Initiative (project)

Applications close November 7, 2021.
Outcomes will be announced within four to five weeks of the closing date.
