By now many of you may have heard that Junee had three projects successfully funded to the value of $60,000 by FRRR under the Investing in Rural Community Futures fund. These included;
- $37,500 to Junee Business and Trades to build community resilience and support the development of local community networks by conducting a series of workshops and/or presentations in the Junee Shire, and employing a part-time Community Liaison Officer.
- $21,000 to the Junee Community Centre to support organisational revenue generation and develop organisational capacity by engaging a consultant to develop a fundraising strategy for the Junee Community Centre.
- $1,500 to the Junee Historical Society to preserve local history and increase organisational capacity through the purchase of IT infrastructure.
Now Junee has been invited to submit an Expression of Interest for Round 2 of the IRCF that is worth $950,000 of funding over two and half years to EACH of THREE towns in Regional NSW. Again, the eligible communities under consideration are Junee, Leeton, Moore, Nambucca Valley and Tumut.

These are People, Sector Efficiencies, Systems and Structures, and Investing on Strategy.
This will help you determine if your group’s proposed project(s) would be suitable for funding under the IRCF.

AN IMPORTANT NOTE from the Guidelines:
“A designated lead organisation will be required to apply on behalf of the community. The organisation applying for this EOI will have no financial or administrative function in delivering the program beyond the EOI, but will be an important partner in the delivery of the IRCF program, if successful.”
This means FRRR will ONLY ACCEPT _ONE_ EOI application from each of the eligible towns. Part of the Community Information Session will be to determine which organisation will represent Junee.
