The Blogging University is presented by the Daily Post and WordPress.com. The BU helps you learn about creating a website; improve an existing website; learn the basics of taking great photographs; or learn to write poetry.
Courses can be a little as 15-minutes in total, or there are topics where you’ll between 30 to 60 minutes a day over a 7 or 14 day period.
Courses are free of charge and you can take them at your own pace.

Blogging Fundamentals is two weeks of bite-size blogging assignments that take you from “Blog?” to “Blog!”
Every day, you’ll get a new assignment to help you publish a post, customize your blog/webiste, or engage with the blogging community. Whether you’re just getting started or want to revive a dormant blog, you’ll receive help to build good blogging habits and blogger connections that will keep you going over the long haul.

Websites: Build a Business Site

“Build a Business Community Website” is ten days of tasks, tips, and advice on how to plan site content and use it to create a business community organisation or sporting club website to help you meet your goals. Each day, you’ll get a new task. We’ll ask you to define the type of site you need and create pages and site navigation. We’ll look at themes and customization, custom domains, SEO, and get you up to speed on social networks.
Although the primary focus on this course is for business website, all the hints and tips you’ll learn can be used to develop a Community or Sporting organisations website.

Photography: Developing Your Eye — Part I
View the world through your unique lens.
Length: 10 Days
This 10-day course is a fun introduction to the fundamentals of photography. Each day, you’ll get a theme to inspire your image, along with a related shooting tip. Advice on composition, image orientation, point of view, and color will be shared. Each assignment helps you sharpen your visual eye and encourages you to post daily on your blog. You can use any camera you like: the lens on your phone, a point-and-shoot, or a dSLR.

Length: 10 Days
Like Developing Your Eye I, this is a 10-day course for bloggers of all levels. Each day, you’ll get a theme to inspire your image, along with a related photography tip. Hone your visual eye and experiment with light, motion, and surfaces; learn to observe your scene; and enhance your photos with image editing tools. You can use any camera you like: the lens on your phone, a point-and-shoot, or a dSLR. This course builds upon the assignments in Developing Your Eye I, but you do not need to take Part I before Part II.

This course is the nudge you’ve been waiting for to sit down, write, and connect with other poetry lovers.
